    Margit Anna was born Margit Sichermann on December 23, 1913, in Borota, Hungary, and passed away on June 3, 1991, in Budapest, Hungary. A Hungarian painter, Anna was deeply involved in the modernist and avant-garde art movements of the 20th century.

    Anna studied alongside Béla Czóbel at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest before moving to Paris, where she was influenced by modernist schools and European masters. In 1945, she co-founded the Hungarian European School, an avant-garde collective promoting artistic experimentation.
