    Marguerite Moore Hawkins was married to Charles Percy Hawkins (1879-1958), an important figure in Suffolk County, Long Island politics. She and her husband resided at Manor Hill in Cutchogue. They also lived for a time at 343 State Street in Albany, New York where she painted and participated in art exhibitions.

    Hawkins and her mentor, Caroline Bell were close friends and painting partners for many years. They often traveled together to the South Fork of Long Island and to Gloucester, Massachusetts where they attended painting classes with Emily Gruppe and Anthony Thieme. Hawkins participated in numerous exhibitions with the Peconic Bay Impressionists at venues such as Guild Hall, Long Island Muse...
