    Helene Stromeyer first received artistic training in Düsseldorf, taking private lessons with Rudolf Jordan. In 1871, Helene Stromeyer presented her paintings for the first time at an exhibition in Hanover.

    From 1876/77, she successfully participated in the exhibitions of the Berlin Academy as well as those in Munich, Vienna, etc. In the early 1880s she went to Karlsruhe where she studied with Hermann Baisch, Hans Fredrik Gude and Gustav Schönleber.

    Alongside Anna Peters, Jenny Fikentscher, Sophie Ley and Alwine Schroedter, she was among the best-known painters in Karlsruhe, and since 1892 she also taught at the Karlsruhe School of Painting in the floral still life class. In 1893, she was one of the founders of the associatio...
