His basic artistic formation took place in the early 1980's through study, research and personal experience regarding the use of wood with lacquers and industriai resins. In 1999 he was invited by the Brazilian government and the director of the Sao Paulo Art Biennial to spend a year in the country and create sculptures during his stay. These were later exhibited in the main Brazilian museums, also at the behest of architect Oscar Niemeyer. Since 2004 he has worked as a set designer for RAI TV.
