    Michelle Possum Nungarrayi, born 1970, is a gifted artist from the remote Yuelamu community in the Northern Territory of Australia. Michelle comes from a strong family background of art, being the daughter of the tremendously famous Clifford Possum. Clifford is known as one of the founding artists of the Australian desert art movement and for achieving the highest price at auction, to date, for an Indigenous artwork - $2.4 million to the National Gallery of Australia in 2007. Michelle, along with her sister Gabriella and brother Lionel, were taught to paint by their brilliantly talented father from a very young age.
