Miguel Acevedo is a Spanish costumbrista painter who showed an early aptitude for drawing and painting, a vocation that emerged clearly in childhood. Acevedo studied at the School of Arts and Crafts of Córdoba and briefly pursued a career as a bullfighter in 1965 before dedicating himself fully to painting. In 1969, Miguel Acevedo won second prize in an open-air painting competition with professional participants, and he completed his Arts and Crafts studies in only two years, graduating at the age of fourteen. By seventeen, he had already received the First Prize of Painting of Andalusia, confirming his early artistic promise.
