    Michael Schilkin (1900–1962) was a Finnish sculptor and ceramicist born in Trubino, Russia. He moved to Finland in 1921, studied at the Central School of Art, and later worked at the Arabia porcelain factory. He is known for stoneware and clay figurines of wild animals, as well as human figures and public wall reliefs, typically with earthy, muted glazes. His sculptures are powerful and often carry a humorous tone.
