One of his largest projects was a three-year effort: "Mike Larsen: Shamans of the Nations," that culminated in a May, 1998 exhibition at the Oklahoma City Art Museum. It was a visual tribute to the Native American tribes of Oklahoma with portraits of the shamans from the various nations dressed in their clothing typical of their life before they were relocated.
