About Minnie Harms Neebe

  • Biography

    Minnie Harms Neebe was born in Chicago, in 1873, and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Fine Arts Academy of Provincetown, Mass. Her outstanding teachers were Lorser Feitelson, Charles Hawthorne, Walter Ufer, Louis A. Neebe, Charles F. Brown, E. Ambrose Webster and W. J. Reynolds.

    She has painted in the East, the Middle West, the Far West and along the Pacific Coast. She is a member of the Chicago Society of Artists, the Chicago No-Jury Society of Artists, the Art Institute of Chicago Alumni Association, the Illinois Academy of Fine Arts and the San Diego Art Association.
