    Mohamed Hamri (1932-2000)

    Mainly known as Hamri, he was a Moroccan painter and author. He had an important role in the cooperation of the Rolling Stones with the Moroccan band Master Musicians of Joujouka. An artwork by Hamri decorates the combined disk by the lead guitarist of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones, and the Master Musicians of Joujouka. Hamri himself was part of the Beat Generation of Tangier, a port where a center for experimental writers flourished in the fifties.
