    Monique Harvey (1950 – 2001)

    A painter, draftsman* and printmaker, Monique Harvey was born in Montreal, Quebec and died there. The Marc-Aurèle Fortin Museum (Montreal) hosted a retrospective of her works in 1989 and the Musée Pierre-Boucher (Trois-Rivières, Quebec) has an example of her work in its permanent collection.

    Her primary medium was oil on canvas. Her subjects included portraits, figures, still life, landscapes, genre* and interiors. Her styles could be described as Expressionism*, Fauvism*, Modernism*, Naive Art*, Primitivism* and Surrealism*. The askART auction images are good illustrations of her oeuvre.
