    Narcisse Poirier was a painter who was born in Saint-Felix-de-Valois, Quebec. His medium was primarily oil. His subjects Quebec landscape, still life and religious decoration for churches. His style was realism.

    He studied at the Monument National in Montreal (1907 - 1914) under Edmond Dyonnet and Joseph Saint-Charles. He also studied with Maurice Cullen, Alfred Laliberte, Henri Herbert and Elezear Soucy; and at the Academie Julian in Paris. He worked with Marc-Aurele de Foy Suzor-Cote decorating churches. He also traveled to Italy.
