    Roosenboom was a Dutch painter. He was one of the best pupils of Andreas Schelfhout and is known for his summer and winter landscapes, seascapes, and harbor views. His paintings reflect the influence of his master, especially in the low arranged horizon, great depth, and attention to narrative detail. Roosenboom enjoyed great success as a painter, which enabled him to make study trips abroad, to Germany, Scotland, and England. His paintings can be found in the collections of the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam, the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem, and the Rijksprentenkabinet in Amsterdam....
