    Death: 1737 (Rome,Italy)

    French artist born in Paris.Painter, draughtsman, pastellist of portraits, genre scenes, religious and mythological compositions and nudes in the Baroque and Neoclassical style.

    From 1724 until his death he was Director of the French Academy in Rome. Was good friends with the French artist Antoine Pesne, who make a portrait of Nicolas Vleughels (Paris,Musée du Louvre).

    Work of Nicolas Vleughels in museum: Paris (Muséé du Louvre), Valenciennes, Pasadena, Château-Thierry, Grenoble, St.Peterburg (Hermitage).
