    Nuna Parr (1949)

    A prominent Canadian Inuit* sculptor, carver, draftsman* and printmaker, Nuna Parr (aka: Noona Parr; disc number* E7764) was born near Cape Dorset, Baffin Island and has lived in or near Cape Dorset for most of his life. His sculptures and carvings have been included in many exhibitions held at important venues such as the National Gallery of Canada, the Winnipeg Art Gallery*, the Institute of American Indian Arts (Santa Fe), and the United Nations General Assembly building (New York). His works are in the collections of several Canadian museums including the National Gallery of Canada.
