    Nuyaliaq Qimirpik (1937 – 2007) (1)

    A prominent Canadian Inuit carver and sculptor, Nuyaliaq Qimirpik (disc number* E7-99) lived in Kimmirut (aka: Lake Harbour), Nunavut on the south west shore of Baffin Island. His works have been exhibited widely in Canada and the USA, and they are in the permanent collections of many major Canadian museums. (2)(3)

    His mediums included whalebone*, stone, bone, marine ivory, antler, and scrimshaw line drawings on marine ivory accented with shoe polish.
