Olle Nyman was active as an artist for most of the last century. He remained faithful to his childhood environment Duvnäsgården in Saltsjö-Duvnäs for life. In this inspiring place, Olle Nyman found the starting point for his entire artistry.

His creations in photography, watercolor, oil, tapestry, application, collage and public decoration show an outstanding versatility and as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts (1953-63) he shared with his students his great knowledge of materials, his deep knowledge of classical design, his playfulness and his familiarity with modernism.
