    Osvaldo Medici Del Vascello, who moved to Paris very young in 1922, became part of the Italiens group, made up of de Chirico, Savinio, Tozzi, de Pisis, Severini , Gajoni, Paresce and others, active in the French capital from 1930 to the Second World War.

    Following the German and Italian aggression, France decided to repatriate many Italian artists as "unwelcome". Back in Italy in 1941, Osvaldo Medici Del Vascello worked in Florence until his death.

    After a figurative period of the twentieth century in Paris, following different genres of painting, portraits, landscapes, battles and costume parties, Medici, from 1939 to 1945, turned to a rethinking of Cubism and then landed in Abstractionism in 1950.
