    Swiss painter and graphic artist (1889 Lucerne to 1951 ibid.), attended the School of Arts and Crafts in Lucerne, transferred to the School of Arts and Crafts in Cologne.

    The artist took study visits to Prague, Vienna and Paris, then settled in his hometown of Lucerne and worked as a commercial artist. Landolt also specialized in painting tile stoves and achieved fame as a poster designer
