    Otto Pilz was a German sculptor known for his animal sculptures in bronze and porcelain. He studied at the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. Pilz was a member of the 'German Werkbund' and worked as a freelancer for the Meissen porcelain manufactory, creating numerous plaster models between 1905 and 1912. He also designed for the Schwarzburger Werkstätten and Hutschenreuther. Additionally, Pilz began designing bronze sculptures, mainly animal sculptures for interior and public spaces, in 1905....
