    Ottorino Garosio, born in 1904, was orphaned early by his father and learned art in Riva before returning to Vestone to pursue painting as a profession. His art was influenced by Valsabbia, and he exhibited for the first time in Brescia in 1934. Garosio's figurative art was robust and instinctive, characterized by a quick and skilled hand that aimed for the joy of creating art. He found inspiration in everyday life, depicting scenes such as old men, farmers, women at the wash house, still lifes, landscapes, and self-portraits.
