    Born in Canada. Studied the Liverpool School of Art and Academie Julian, Paris. Exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1884 to 1916. Elected R.Cam.A in 1900. Founder member of the South Wales Art Society. Lived at 26 Castle Street, Liverpool and two addresses in Cardiff - 16 and 41 The Parade. Known to have been a member of the Liver Sketching Club in 1890s and on the Committee in 1881. Brother of Mary Hagarty
