In 1985, Paul Gherasim founded the Prolog Group, together with Horea Pastina, Mihai Sarbulescu, Cristian Paraschiv and Constantin Flondor. He paints nature as a place of expectation, of waiting for the ultimate meaning: what he calls the Logos in Heideggerian terms. For his brushwork, he adopts une stratégie du peu by gradually eliminating colour until its translucence allows light to pass through it and beyond it.
