    Per-Axel (Pelle) Åberg, born 21 April 1909 in Stockholm, died April 21, 1964 in Stockholm, was a Swedish painter. He was the son of the visual artist Axel Wilhelm Åberg and Hildur Lindström and from 1935 married to Aina Gerda Linnéa Nordin. He was the grandson of the theater decoration painter Wilhelm Åberg.

    He received his basic art education from his father and worked with him for 12 years as a decorative painter. At the same time he studied at the Technical School in Stockholm in 1927–1929 and during study trips to Italy, France, England and Spain. He was awarded a student scholarship from the City of Stockholm in 1964.

    Separately, he exhibited several times at De Ungas salong and Konstnärshuset in Stockholm and in a large number of country towns. Together with Olle Nordberg he exhibited at Lorensberg's art gallery and together with Sven-Olof Rosén and Tore Wideryd in Ronneby and together with Bengt Ellis and Björn Hallström in Ljusdal. He was a member of the group's formation in 1938, the Young People Association and participated in a number of the group's exhibitions as well as in collections exhibitions organized by Sweden's general art association.
    Among his public works are decorative paintings for the Konstnärshuset's restaurant in Stockholm, Eskilstuna curriculum, Summer restaurant at Karlstad city hotel, Blekinge aviation fleet, Enånger church, Öjeby church and the cinema Winter Palace, Norra Bantorget in Stockholm.

    His art consists of human portrayals, clowns, depictions from Stockholm life with folk types from the Klarak quarter.

    He was a decorator for three years at the Southern Theater and five years at the Scala Theater.

    Åberg is represented at Prince Eugens Waldemarsudde, Modern Museum in Stockholm, Jönköping Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Östergötlands Museum, Stockholm City Museum, Ateneum in Helsinki.

    Pelle Åberg is buried at the Northern Cemetery.
