    Peter Graf, born in 1937 in Crimmitschau, Germany, is a German painter and graphic artist. In 1952, he moved to Dresden where he formed friendships with notable artists such as Winfried Dierske, Peter Makolies, Peter Hermann, Jürgen Böttcher (Strawalde), and Ralf Winkler (A. R. Penck). Graf was a member of the artist group "Erste Phalanx Nedserd" and studied at the Berlin Weißensee Art Academy in 1956 before being exmatriculated after one year. He returned to Dresden in 1957 and engaged in various professions while pursuing his passion for painting. In 1961, Graf was portrayed by Jürgen Böttcher in the later banned short documentary film "Three of Many." He became a member of the VBK of the GDR in 1975 and was a co-signer of the protest agaEisold "Künstler in der DDR," Internet presence of the Saxon Academy of Arts, Wikipedia...
