    Peter Shostak B. Ed., M.Ed. (1943)

    A western Canadian painter, printmaker, author, illustrator, draftsman and educator, Professor Peter Shostak was born in Bonnyville, Alberta and currently lives in Courtenay, British Columbia. He is the author of six books (see Sources) and his paintings and prints are in several museum collections including the Canadian Museum of History.

    His mediums are oil paints, watercolors and serigraphs*. His subjects are figures, landscapes, still life, snowscapes, rural life, pioneer life, farm scenes, churches, ethnicity (primarily Ukrainian), children’s activities, amateur sports, religious traditions, animals, genre* and allegory*.
