Peter Zimmermann: born in 1941 in Bremen - died on 17.10.2007 in Osterholz - Scharmbeck was a German painter and etcher in Worpswede. He was the son of Erich Zimmermann and painted typical regional landscapes in the tradition of Worpsweder founding generation.

Upon completion of this work, group painting was in the context of the meticulous, technically brilliant color etchings, which were Peter Zimmermanns real passion and make his major work.

Integrated theme of both figurative and surreal and last abstractly formulated work is the critical examination of the relationship between man and nature environment. The artist had solo exhibitions in 2006 Overbeck Museum, Bremen-Vegesack.
