    Pierre Gourdault was a French painter who was a pupil of portraitist Marcel-André Baschet. He was known for his paintings of street scenes and portraits, with a particular interest in Tunisia and the Maghreb coast. Gourdault set up his studio in Tunis for two years and painted various subjects from 1906 until his death in 1915. A posthumous exhibition of his work was held in April 1919 at the Galerie Georges Petit in Paris.
