    Ragnhild Keyer was born in 1889. Ragnhild Keyser was 22 years old when she arrived in Paris in 1911. During the 1st World War, she studied at Pola Gauguin at home in Oslo, but returned as soon as she was able to. Together with Solvig Solvig Nilson (later married to the artist Erik Olson), Ragnhild Keyser began at André Lhote's painting academy Académie Montparnasse and participated in his summer courses in southwestern France. In 1925, Ragnhild Keyser was recommended by friends and art colleagues Otto G Carlsund and Florence Henri to start with Cubist Fernand Léger.
