  • Biography

    Ralph Taylor was a painter, printmaker and teacher. He was born in Russia and had addresses in Philadelphia, PA. He studied at the Graphic Sketch Club; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art with Henry Mc Carter; also in Italy, France and England. He was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance; Philadelphia Print Club; Philadelphia Graphic Sketch Club; and Alliance of American Artists.

    He exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy Annual from 1921-1929, 1949; PAFA (Mary Butler Memorial Prize for Concert, 1954); Corcoran Gallery Biennial, 1923; Philadelphia Art Club, 1928; Bower Gallery, N.Y., 1930 (solo); Woodmere Art Gallery; and many others.
