About Raymundo Martinez

  • Biography

Raymundo Martinez is a landscaper inclined to paint the volcanoes and valleys of Mexico. His main influence comes from the principles of José María Velasco and the landscapes of the 18th century. In his work, he uses the handling of the forms of nature, light and colors with great artistic quality.

"Raymundo, who is a lover of the countryside, particularly in his displays of freedom and strength, loves the city equally and knows how to identify with it and take on its problems [...] The painting, as well as a typically creative act, as an action that confronts or better still, that complements and harmonizes the space as an extension and the space as an enclosure, results in a civic approach without equivalence ". Ernesto de la Peña
