    Reinhold Max Eichler was born in 1872 in Hubertusburg-Mutzschen / Sachsen. From 1881 he was a resident in Dresden. From 1899-1893 he studied at the Dresden Academy and from 1893-96 at the Munich Academy with Paul Höcker. He became a German painter, draftsman and illustrator. From 1896 Eichler produced illustrations for the Munich magazines "Jugend" and "Simplicissimus". In 1899 he co-founded the artists' association "Die Scholle", to which Edward Cucuel and Leo Putz also belonged. With Adolf Münzer, Fritz Erler and Leo Putz, he was a member of the Schwabinger "Society for Limited Art - Cococello Club". He sent works to, among others, the Munich Glass Palace, the Paris World Exhibition 1900 as well as exhibitions in Berlin, Basel, DüsseldThieme-Becker, Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerl exikon ", Müller-Singer, Buhrs" Secession 1892-1914 ", Bruckmann" Münchner Maler des 19./20.
