    Artist Statement:
    "Like the subject of much of my work, my process is quite organic. I view ideas as cyclical rather than linear, to which you can return over time. As random acts of violence or disruption occur in any 'natural' settings, and energy and opportunities are suddenly re-distributed, I deliberately introduce disruptions into the creation of my artworks by the use of particular painting processes, and then resolve these so that I end up with an interesting "picture", a fiction (like a novel, a joke or a movie with its own internal logic).
