    A Painter and draftsman, Robert Eadie (1877 – 1954) was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and died there. He signed his works R. Eadie. His mediums included oils, watercolors, pencil drawings, and mixed mediums. His subjects were portraits, still lifes, genre, landscapes, village streets, interiors beach scenes, marine scenes, and industrial scenes. His styles could be described as Impressionism and Realism. He studied in Paris and Munich, traveled elsewhere in Europe, visited Rhodesia, and served in the Royal Engineers in World War I.

    He was a member of the Glasgow Society of Painter-Etchers and he was elected to membership of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (R.S.W.) in 1917....
