    Robert Schuppner was a German painter and art forger born in 1896 in Hamm an der Sieg. He was self-taught in painting and had an exhibition at the Galerie Nicolai in Berlin in 1925. In 1933, he emigrated to Paris and was banned from painting by the Nazis. He had an exhibition in Paris in 1934 and lived in Cologne after the war, where he was active as an art dealer and forger.
