    He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1967 to 1972 under Professor Eckert, where he developed a foundation in abstract composition and conceptual experimentation. In 1978–1979, Zielasco received a Rome scholarship, allowing him to immerse himself in classical and contemporary Italian art.

    In 1979, he was awarded the Theodor Körner Prize, recognizing his contributions to Austrian cultural life. Following extended stays in India and East Asia (1980–1981), Zielasco returned to Vienna, where he has lived and worked since 1982.
