Born in Oaxaca in 1925, Rodolfo Morales was a shy, modest and silent young man, far from social interests and a lover of his land, an intelligent and wise village with artistic gifts. He was the son of a carpenter and a teacher of school that mounted theater. Morales arrived in Mexico City in 1948 to enter the Academy of San Carlos. However, after the great acceptance of his first exhibitions, he had the opportunity to travel around the world, visiting museums and taking courses. On his return to his homeland he began to work ceaselessly in the creation of works, some of them influenced by his travels and life experiences.
