Roland Ladwig was born in 1935 in Berlin. Roland Ladwig studied from 1957-1961 at universities in Hamburg, Berlin and Stuttgart and attended a summer school at Oskar Kokoschka in Salzburg. He had numerous international exhibitions, including at the Paris gallery Bernheim-Jeune. Ladwig never saw the need to adapt given today's trends and isms. On his study trips to Brittany, the painting, which is excellent just in color, brushwork and expressive of the rugged terrains.
