After an apprenticeship in Graphic Arts at an Advertising Studio, following of course work at Staatlichen Zeichenakademie of Hanau and attendance at the Werkkunstschule of Offenbach where he opened his own studio . A second apprenticeship was as an advertising artist and designer, which completed his training prior to his departure for Paris in 1961. He did Drawings and paintings in Montmatre and on the streets demonstrating great virtuosity and also spontaneous freshness.
