About Ross Dickinson

  • Biography

    Born in Santa Ana, CA on April 29, 1903. Dickinson began his art studies at the Chouinard School and continued in NYC at the NAD under Hawthorne and at the Grand Central School under Costigan and Ennis. He also studied with Frank M. Fletcher at the Santa Barbara School of Fine Arts and taught there during 1928-30. He then taught life drawing at the Art Center School in Los Angeles for 21 years. He was also awarded residency at Louis C. Tiffany Foundation on Long Island. Dickinson died in La Jolla, CA on Feb. 7, 1978.
