    Born and trained in Schwanden-Glarus, Switzerland, Rudolf Tschudi immigrated to Cincinnati.

    A portrait, landscape, and still life painter, Rudolf won First Prize at the Ohio Mechanics’ Institute in 1874, and a medal at the 1904 St. Louis Exposition. He was an active member of the Cincinnati Art Club, and a friend of Frank Duveneck.

    His work can be found at the Evanston School, Cincinnati; the Kunsthaus, Glarus; and the Cosmopolitan Bank, Cincinnati. Two of his works, Entrance to Burnet Woods on Clifton Avenue and View of Cincinnati - 1800, can be found in the Cincinnati History Library and Archives at the Cincinnati Museum Center....
