Born and trained in Schwanden-Glarus, Switzerland, Rudolf Tschudi immigrated to Cincinnati. A portrait, landscape, and still life painter, Rudolf won First Prize at the Ohio Mechanics’ Institute in 1874, and a medal at the 1904 St. Louis Exposition. He was an active member of the Cincinnati Art Club, and a friend of Frank Duveneck.
