    Rudolf Marcuse was a Berlin sculptor who studied at the Berlin Art Academy under Ernst Herter. He created small sculptures in Art Nouveau and Art Déco style mainly in bronze and porcelain, including designs for KPM and Rosenthal. He also created the monuments of Moses Mendelsohn in Berlin and Carl Hagenbeck in Stellingen. In 1936, Marcuse emigrated to England and lived in London until his death.
