    Rudolf Möller was born on the 12th of February 1881, in Thuringia.

    He studied as a pupil of Lovis Corinth at the Royal Art School in Berlin from 1905-07. Starting in 1916, Möller was an art teacher at a grammar school in Berlin. Later, he became a senior teacher for painting and art literature.

    From 1919-31, he was a member of the November Group and took part in numerous exhibitions. During National Socialism, his paintings were considered as ‘entartete Kunst’ (degenerated art), and in 1943 he was released from teaching.

    In 1945, he moved to Lörrach, where he spent the rest of his life. He passed away in 1967.
