    Rudolf Heinrich Schuster was a German painter and illustrator born in 1848 in Markneukirchen in Vogtland. He studied at the Dresden Academy from 1863 and was one of the most talented studio students of Ludwig Richter from 1867 to 1873. Schuster was influenced by Eduard Schleich and Adolf Heinrich Lier while staying in Munich. He undertook numerous study trips to various places including Bohemia, Switzerland, Tyrol, Italy, Austria, the Ore Mountains, and the Eifel. Schuster was active in Düsseldorf from 1875 to 1876, temporarily in Stuttgart, and in the Giant Mountains from 1882 to 1885. He was in Berlin from 1886 to 1888, Dresden Teplitz from 1891 to 1894, Weimar from 1894 to 1896, and Meran from 1898 to 1900. Due to illness, he returned to...
