at her Houston home from brain and lung cancer. She was 73.
I am a photographer with the Houston Chronicle. I photographed Ms. McCrane for an article that ran Oct. 21, 2001. Her obit ran Feb. 28, 2002.
Shortly after the story in Oct., she was diagnosed with a brain and lung tumor. Since the diagnoses, she had been undergoing chemo. Prior to
that she had always enjoyed good health. I visited her often.
Although I only knew her for a short time, she made quite an impression
on me. I meet many interesting people thru my job, but I must say she
was the most vibrant soul I have ever met. I will always remember her.
