    SILVIO BUSCEMA (SAL) born 1936

    American comic book artist, born in Brooklyn, New York. Buscema attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City. He served at Fort Belvoir in Washington, D.C. during his Army service in 1956. Afterwards he joined Creative Arts Studio in Washington, D.C. An employee of Marvel Comics since his first work, Gunhawk, in 1968, Buscema has contributed extensively to such titles as, Ghost Rider, Sub-Mariner, Captain America, Defenders, Conan the Barbarian, The Incredible Hulk, and New Mutants. He served as the penciller for Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man, completing over 80 issues in the series. In the early 1990s he has continued ...
