    Salvatore Del Deo (b. 1928)

    Salvatore Del Deo was born in Providence, Rhode Island on August 12, 1928. After attending the Rhode Island School of Design, he studied with Harold Lindergreen at the Vesper George School in Boston.

    In 1946 he began his studies with Henry Hensche at the Cape School of Art in Provincetown. He later studied with Edwin Dickinson at the Art Students League in New York.

    Del Deo was a founding member of the Provincetown Group Gallery. He has taught and exhibited regularly at the Provincetown Art Association, where he had a 40 year retrospective in 1993.
