About Salvatore Indiviglia

  • Biography

    Born in New York City, Salvatore Indiviglia was a teacher at City College of New York and also gave private art classes from 1946 to 1969. From 1960 to 1972, he was a teacher of watercolor at East Williston Library in New York and from 1962 to 1966 was instructor of fine and applied arts at Mechanics Institute in New York. He became an account executive at Vogue Wright Studios in 1964 and took over the still life studio manager position in 1977, leaving about a year later. He also contributed artwork to military publications including Naval Aviation News and All Hands. His article titled "The Watercolor Page" was published in American Artist Magazine 1971.
