    Sandy Walker was born on August 30, 1942 in Washington, D.C., the son of a physician. He attended St. Alban's School and after graduation in 1960 went on to Harvard University to study art history. After Harvard, he spent a year at the Boston University School of Fine Arts and the following year at the New York Studio School, where he worked with teacher Mercedes Matter. Walker received an M.F.A. in painting from Columbia University as a Breevort Fellow in 1968. His teachers included Morton Sachs, Walter Murch, Charles Cajori, Nicholas Carone, Stephen Greene, Tony Harrison, and John Heliker.He established a ...
